Below are some of the top domestic spring break destinations located outside of Florida.
South Padre Island, Texas is a laid back beach town and the heart of spring break in Texas. South Padre is located in Southern Texas along the Gulf Coast. If you’re looking for a beach spring break then this is the place for you. The island has hundreds of miles of beach and all the water sports you can imagine. A favorite mode of transportation around the island is by scooter. After a day out on the beach and enjoying a beautiful sunset over the water head out to one of the nightclubs to dance the night away. If you’re looking to get off the island for an excursion Mexico is less than an hour away making this the perfect two-nation vacation destination.
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is all about the spring break party. There are endless miles of white sand beaches, plenty of accommodations and a fantastic nightlife. Along with the water sports and soaking in the sun, Myrtle Beach has golf courses, a water park, an amusement park, shopping, bars, casino cruises, and nightclubs. Many of the nightclubs are within walking distance of each other so hopping from one to another is easy.
Home of the famous London Bridge, Lake Havasu, Arizona is becoming a popular Spring Break spot for students who want to enjoy the sun but don’t need the ocean. Cliff-jumping into the lake, hopping from boat to boat in a progressive party scene, waterskiing, jet skiing, drifting on the lake, and rafting on a river are all part of a Lake Havasu spring break trip. Mountain biking and hitting the clubs are some of the more dry activities available in the area.
